NSTA Strategic Goals 2010

The National Science Teachers Association just released their Strategic Goals for 2010. These goals will guide the efforts of NSTA over the course of the next 5 years. Download the goals HERE.

The 4 Strategic Goals are:

  1. Promote active participation of all teachers of science in improving science education.
  2. Advocate for the central role of science education to benefit students and society.
  3. Support high-quality science teaching to improve student learning for the 21st century.
  4. Influence research in science education and promote its wide application to improve science teaching and student learning.

You may also be interested in attending a web seminar on October 12, 2010 (6:30 -8:00 p.m. Eastern Time) discussing the background, purpose, and development of the 4 strategic goals.
