So You Think You Can Chant

I have had the privilege of spending this week with a group of middle school science teachers who are learning how to use technology and effective teaching strategies to improve student learning in science.  One strategy presented was the use of chants or songs to help all learners understand a science concept in a fun and engaging way that facilitates vocabulary development.

Teacher worked in groups to create a song, chant, or rap to a known tune. These masterpieces were presented and I hope to have some to share soon.

To honor the work of these teachers and to share a great set of songs please check out the link to the Top 10 Science Music Videos. As a former molecular biologist- The PCR Song (the #1 Video) is truly amazing!

Love that! Thanks Kirk! I will save it and share with others.

Please send me the name of the book about Science and Equity – I’m looking forward to reading it.
