Sounds of the Forest

Sounds of the Forest is a map of sound files from forests around the world.

I can imagine multiple ways that educators might use Sounds of the Forest;

  • Maybe students just listen to a random location as a moment of focus and wellness…there is something soothing about these sounds.
  • Maybe as students are learning about different ecosystems they can add research on the sounds…something we don’t typically consider when learning about a place.
  • Maybe students listen to some of the music created with sounds from the forest.
  • Maybe students are learning about sound and use this as an example of natural sounds and consider how these sounds are made.
