The latest video from Veritasium with an Olympics tie in.
Great for students to tie in with everyday life.
Check out NBCLearn for several very cool videos on the science and engineering of the Summer Olympics. A lot of it is biomechanics however I found the engineering of the pools to be pretty interesting to think about. Also great are the videos on Oscar Pistorius and how energy works in his prosthetics, and the Fluid dynamics video about drag and thrust.
These are great but if you are a bit more “mathey” with your science check out the Science of Football at the same site. Vectors, angles, velocity….whoo, whoo!
