Linus Pauling Research Notebooks

The Linus Pauling Research Notebooks site contains 46 scanned notebooks spanning 1922-1994. You will not only see the diversity of ideas that Dr. Pauling worked on but you will see wonderful examples of how a scientist uses an authentic science notebook.

These entries could provide examples for students of how real scientists use notebooks. It might be interesting to compare a page from a Linus Pauling notebook to one of their own pages. See the blog post HERE from Students Talk Science with a perfect example lesson.

For examples of classroom science notebooks see Sciencenotebooks.org
