Middle School Chemistry: Big Ideas about the Very Small is a FREE middle school unit provided by the American Chemical Society. You can download all six chapters:

  • Matter
  • Changes of State
  • Density
  • The Periodic Table & Bonding
  • The Water Molecule & Dissolving
  • Chemical Change

Each chapter has multiple lessons supported with activity sheets and online visualizations/interactives. You can download the entire unit or individual chapters and lessons.

Potential Uses: this resource could provide activities to supplement existing instructional materials.
