The talk “Bring on the Learning Revolution” by Sir Ken Robinson was just released on TED Talks. There are many parts of this talk that speak to me-
- I especially love the notion that our school systems need more than reform- they need a revolution
- The Fast Food model of education is not working
- We should do the work that makes an hour feel like 5 minutes- most people are not doing the work that feeds their passion
- “Common sense” prevents us from seeing some opportunities for change
I also recommend watching Sir Ken Robinson’s TED Talk from 2006- Schools Kill Creativity.
