A Science Cafe is an informal meeting between scientists, citizen scientists, and everyday people with a curiosity for science. Discussions are inclusive and focus on plain language. These meetings are happening all around the country and they seem like a great way for science educators to connect with the science community and also with the general public.
Sciencecafes.org provides information on how to find a science cafe near you or even how to start one yourself.
Down to a Science is an example of a blog for a Science Cafe in the San Francisco area.
I would love to hear from anyone who has participated in a Science Cafe experience.
