Tree of Life

The Tree of Life is a powerful visual interactive that shows the relationships between all life on Earth. Engaging with such a visual tool could be the perfect experience to help all students develop understanding of the big ideas in evolution, genetics, and natural selection.

The site contains resources that explain the interactive and there is also a set of teacher resources for a variety of grade bands. Each lesson contains student & teacher pages for using the interactive.

  • Climbing the Tree of Life (ages 11-14)
  • Back to Our Roots (ages 14-16)
  • Highlighting Important Stages in Evolution (ages 16-19)
