Something Old Something New Part 1

Something Old: today I’m sharing a great resource from Michigan State University… A middle school unit on Matter & Molecules. This was created in the late 80s, yet follows the 3 Key Findings from How People Learn and is well-reviewed by AAAS.

The entire Teacher Guide and Student Sheets are available as free pdf downloads- Seems like a great supplement.

Something New: Well it’s not SUPER new… but if you haven’t seen Dr. Art’s Guide to Science, you should check it out. The book is great for elementary or middle school teachers who want to “beef up” their content knowledge. The book also supports excellent Systems thinking, so if you want to gain a deeper understanding of Systems this is a great starting point. The web site is excellent as well.
