If you are a high school science teacher looking for a cool opportunity to collaborate with others and to connect with a local STEM innovation site then keep reading!
The Allen Institute’s Education & Engagement team is calling all high school STEM teachers in Washington, Idaho, or Oregon to apply for their first-ever Allen Institute Teacher Fellows program. This fellowship is a great opportunity for STEM educators to work together to create new lessons for their students using the scientific resources from the Allen Institute. Teachers selected for the program will join a cohort of peers and spend a year collaborating with Allen Institute scientists and staff to develop, test, and publish a unique neuroscience lesson. They will work in groups and each group will be paired with a scientific mentor from the Institute to guide the lesson development. Applications are open until June 3, 2024, at 11:59pm PT…so time is running out. Apply now if you are interested!
The program aims to use open science to ensure everyone has access to science learning and research experiences. They’re looking for teachers who are passionate about creating culturally relevant science curricula and promoting inclusive STEM learning environments.
