Thanks, Kirk, for this valuable resource! I appreciate that it provides a ready-made “initial communication tool” for parents to start understanding NGSS, and it also addresses typical questions that parents have, for example:
– How will NGSS change my child’s science classroom?
– Are the NGSS different from the Common Core State Standards?
– What can I do to prepare my child for a STEM-filled world?
I will be sharing this with teacher leaders to get them thinking about ways to initiate “NGSS-dialogue” with families.
