The Why Files was mentioned over on Free Technology for Teachers and I wanted to give it a plug here as well. The Why Files is a site dedicated to explaining the science behind current events in the news. Don’t expect to see a story for every news event, but you will see those that have a clear science connection. Current connections include: a story on brain damage and playing football; a story on hospitals running low on common meds.. I think you get the idea. Educators will also find classroom activities and articles linked to national science standards.
