Mistakes that Worked

I recently stumbled on some clips I posted last year of kid inventors on Ellen– and I was reminded of the excellent picture book Mistakes that Worked by Charlotte Foltz Jones.

Mistakes that Worked presents the stories behind 40 famous inventions. I often use examples from this book when teaching the Design Process (to kids and adults). My favorite excerpt is the story behind the invention of the sticky note- classic!

Another great picture book on inventions is- Imaginative Inventions by Charise Harper
