I am lucky to work in a region with several informal science providers. However, I have long been interested in how to get informal science and formal science educators to partner and pool resources to help all students learn science. Some of these partnerships have started- but I would like to see more.

Learning Science in Informal Environments is a wonderful resource that was recently released. A summary of the report can be downloaded online for free or the entire book can be read online for free.

Applications for Science Teachers: This is a resource that is more applicable for district and regional science leaders who are interested in learning more about the power of informal science experiences.
