Drain the Ocean

Picture 3National Geographic Channel has a very detailed site to support their  program Drain the Ocean on August 11th at 9:00 pm. There is an interactive map of the landscape beneath the oceans plus videos of specific sites.

Applications for Science Teachers: These resources could support learners of multiple levels with Earth/Space content and Life Science content. There are also resources that could support understanding of the nature of science, models, and inquiry. National Geographic also has many other excellent science tools- worth a future post I’m sure.

Other Resources:

National Geographic’s Oceans Now is a project to study some of the last healthy, undisturbed sites in the oceans.
