Here is another great Science Notebook resource for K-5 science teachers- Writing in Science. This book is very intentional about its objective to not only teach students science skills and concepts but to also teach them expository writing skills. One of my favorite parts of this approach is to have a separate science writing session- instead of forcing kids to write as they are “doing” scientific investigations.
